On-going through Labor Day weekend (Sunday, September 1 - Museum is closed on Mondays). The Wood County Historical Center & Museum is proud to be among over 800 museums across America to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families as part of the annual Blue Star Museums Program

TEA: WHERE DO BABIES COME FROM
Thursday, July 10, 2:00 pm
Laura Kemp, CNM (certified nurse midwife) will talk about the beginnings of nurse midwifery in the US and its comparison to modern-day roles, including her travels to Haiti to address issues in global women's health. Light refreshments and tea served prior to program. [Reservation and Fee Info]

Several hands-on archeology programs for museum members and the general public are scheduled throughout the summer, plus periodic digs during regular museum hours.

DAY LILY AND GARDEN TOUR
The Black Swamp Herb Society invites you to tour the gardens at the home of Jack Church, 15201 Van Tassel Rd. on Saturday, July 12 at 10 AM. With over 1,000 cultivars of day lilies and other floral varieties, Jack will share his love and expertise. He has hybridized his own plants too, and will have some available for purchase. Light refreshments.
