CORN MAZE
Wood County Historical Center

See if you can make it through in 30 minutes. Friends and families welcome.

$5/person, children age 3 and under free. Corn Maze admission includes same-day Museum admission.

 

* Corn Maze also open during the Folklore & Funfest - October 14, 4-9 PM (last tour starts at 8:30 PM, free during Folklore & Funfest event only)

* Corn Maze also open during Friday Night Folklore Tour - October 27, 6-9 PM (last tour starts at 8:30 PM. Corn Maze included with Friday Night Folklore Tour admission only)



 

Scarecrow Making Workshop and ContestOctober 10  |  5-7 PM
SCARECROW MAKING WORKSHOP
Wood County Historical Center

Individuals and groups welcome. The Wood County Park District provides straw, string, support pole, and refreshments; you bring clothes, decoration, and support for the scarecrow’s back and arms. You can take it home or enter it in the annual Scarecrow Contest to win prizes. All contest entrants will leave their scarecrow on display at the Historical Center for the Park District Folklore & Funfest October 14.

FREE Family Fun. Individuals and groups welcome. Drink cider, eat snacks and practice your pumpkin carving skills. Take one home or leave on display at the Historical Center for the Folklore & Funfest.

Friday Night Folklore Tour Story Stop

Friday, October 27 | 7-10 PM
FRIDAY NIGHT FOLKLORE TRICK, TREAT, & TOUR
Wood County Historical Center

Self-guided adult trick-or-treat at story stops around the former Wood County Infirmary (now the Historical Center & Museum). Walk the scarecrow alley, spooky trail, or Pauper's Cemetery for treats and folklore tales. Stop on the Linwood Bridge or peer into the Lunatic Asylum. Inside the Museum, witness a seance, meet a WWI soldier in the trench, then relax with a featured performance from magician Andrew Martin.

Reservations are appreciated by calling 419-352-0967 but walk-ins are welcome. Dress appropriate for the weather, especially footwear and outerwear. Bring a flashlight.

$15 ticket | Discounts for WCHS Members and Students.
Admission includes same-day corn maze.
