  • Visit the Boom Town: blacksmithing demos from the Northwest Ohio Blacksmiths. Different forges will be running throughout the day with each smith making a different project.
  • Civil War Reenactment groups will welcome you into their camp as they share their stories, conduct artillery demonstration, and other period activities.
  • Linwood Road Pedestrian Bridge Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Join us overtop the Portage River! The Wood County Historical Society is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the long-awaited opening of the Linwood Road pedestrian bridge. County Engineer Ray Huber and our three County Commissioners will give remarks during the service. The bridge was funded in part by the Wood County Commissioner’s Office, the Wood County Historical Society, and the Wood County Engineer’s Office. Wooden benches along the bridge were constructed by Eagle Scout Troop 485 under the direction of Aaron Knueven. The last of the benches will be put into place by the troop during the ceremony. Adorning the bridge are beautiful flower boxes, also constructed by the Eagle Scout Troop under the direction of Chris Woessner.
  • Self-guided Museum tours will featuring new exhibits “BARBERSHOP & BEAUTY,” “DATING THROUGH THE DECADES,” and a new “SPOTLIGHT” exhibit which highlights artifacts in the collection that are not usually on display. There is a suggested $4.00 per adult donation to tour the Museum.

*Sorry, the Oil Derrick and Log Cabin will not be open to the public.
