The truth is no matter how representative Asian Americans want to be of their culture they will have to adapt to meet the needs of the couple and their guests\, which makes them very American. \nSpeaker: Trinidad Linares \nEach monthly tea & talk starts with a catered luncheon\, warm tea\, and a unique presentation tied to our newest exhibit\, “Allure & Illusion: A Rose Colored Romance”\, our newest wedding themed exhibit. Reservations are required and are due the Friday before each tea\, even for Tea Card holders\, by calling 419-352-0967. Any cancellation after this date will forfeit payment. The 2022 honorees were chosen in conjunction with the Wood County Museum’s new wedding exhibit\, “Allure & Illusion: A Rose Colored Romance”.\n\nSunday\, August 28\, 2022 at 2 PM\nA Joyful Noise will perform at 1:30 PM\nWood County Museum Grounds\n\nFREE EVENT\n\nGuest are kindly asked to bring their own lawn chair.\n\n\n2022 HONOREES:\n\n• Earl Bailey\nDec 23\, 1891 – Mar 7 1978\nFormer Wood County Judge\, served in World War I and after retirement from the Court House he operated a general insurance operation.\nPortrayed by:\nBob Midden\n\n\n• Barney Bistline\nNov 16\, 1871-Nov 4\, 1948\nscholar\, teacher and former Judge. He issued over 32\,000 marriage licenses during his tenure as Judge. He did not have a law degree\, but was grandfathered in as judge when the law was passed that a judge needed to have a law degree.\nPortrayed by: Thomas Edge\n\n\n• Barbara Boyer Brandeberry\nJul 30\, 1930 – Nov 20\, 2019\nBorn in Toledo and later adopted by her paternal grandparents. She loved to escort tours to the Holy Land and lead Bible Classes.\nPortrayed by: Mary Dennis\n\n\n• Marguarite Dick Eckel\nFeb 9\, 1920 – May 20\, 2011\nMarguarite “Petey” was the daughter of Clarence Dick\, former Mayor of Bowling Green. She was crown Mrs.Wood County in 1957 and Mrs. Bowling Green in 1958.\nPortrayed by:\nAlexis Jade Reinbolt Tucker\n\n\n• Iza “Mid” Taylor McKnight\nSept 12\, 1885 – Nov 4\, 1964\nThe daughter of Isaac Taylor\, Mid graduated from Bowling Green High School and married her high school sweetheart\, Douglass McKnight.\nPortrayed by:\nAnnelise Clifton\n\n\n• Isaac Moore Taylor\nFeb 5\, 1844 – Jan 28\, 1930\nMayor of Bowling Green and an oil man.
