DESCRIPTION:Portage Cemetery Walking Tour\nJoin the Wood County Museum staff for a walking tour of Portage Cemetery and discover the history and captivating stories of the people who call this historic cemetery their final resting place. Explore local history through the lives and stories of those buried in Portage Cemetery. \nDate: October 1\, 2026\nTime: 6:00 PM\nLocation: Portage Cemetery\, 12300 County Home Rd.\, Portage\, OH 43451\nRain Date: October 6\, 2026 \nCost: FREE for Wood County Museum members; $10 for non-members. \n****Each person attending must be a member to get the member rate. Members may not make reservations for non-members on their behalf*** \nSpace is limited\, so advance registration is recommended. The tour is weather dependent. \nFor participants with limited mobility\, 7 golf cart seats are available by reservation. Please call 419-352-0967 to reserve a seat. The golf cart cannot accommodate wheelchairs\, and participants must be able to get on and off the golf cart with limited assistance. \nThis program is brought to you by Edwin & Irma Wolf\, Portage Center Arbor #524\, North Baltimore Arbor #461\, and the Wood County Genealogical Society.
