Boiler BBQ Bash Fundraiser

July 7 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$60.00 – $5,000.00

It’s time to celebrate our grand re-opening!

This year the museum has reimagined the “Gala Fundraiser” as the “Boiler BBQ Bash!” on July 7, 2023 from 6-9pm.  We are excited to have a “new” fun summer fundraiser as an in-person event with live music by Nikki D & The Sisters of Thunder, delicious food by City Barbeque, a beer tent, and side raffle prizes. We will also have an online silent auction.

On December 27, 2022 the Wood County Museum suffered over $50,000 of significant water damage as a result of Christmas weekend storms. Because of this, the Museum has been closed to the public until further notice. This fundraiser will also help with offsetting the lost revenue of admission and event & programing ticket sales. Your support ensures the longevity and success of YOUR award-winning local history museum.
Please help us reach our goal to raise $25,000 by becoming an event sponsor, purchasing an event ticket, and by participating in the auction.
Tickets are $60/per person. Must be 21+ to attend.
Purchase tickets online or at the door.
Food and Drinks are included with the ticket. Catering will be done by City Barbeque
Auction website: 32auctions.com/boilerbbqbash

About the Musical Act

Nikki D & the Sisters of Thunder is a family based group from Toledo. Their unique style is Gospel with Blues riffs and grooves, all punctuated by Nikki D’s wildly soulful and electrifying steel guitar. Guitar World magazine has described Nikki as “The Jimi Hendrix of Sacred Steel”  because of her experimental vocal-like riffs and other-worldly sounds. She’s also a soulful vocalist that commands the attention with her raspy, sultry voice. Their excitement and energy is contagious. When they hit the stage, a forecast for hand clapping and toe tapping will be expected.

The group is known for their powerfully moving, revival-like performances with beautifully atmospheric vocals riding
about a wave of infectious rhythms and grooves. They’ve shared the stage with Jack White’s band, The Raconteurs, as well as The Rance Allen Group, The Slide Brothers and many others.
