This wedding dress worn for the marriage of
Lillian Evinger & Arthur David Lytle

Lillian Evinger was born in Pennsylvania on October 17, 1883 to Katherine (Burrell) & John Evinger. Lillian, her brothers William and Guy, her sister Dora, and parents moved to Hoytville where Lillian’s father owned a farm.

Arthur D. Lytle was born on July 31, 1886 in Townwood, Putnam County, Ohio to Sarah (Pinkerton) & Rev. David Lytle. Arthur had two brothers Ephrem and Frank and a sister named Anna.

According to the 1910 census, Lillian was 26 and still living with her parents in Hoytville working as a dressmaker (it is very likely she made her own wedding dress). In 1910 Arthur worked as a merchant, managing lumber yards in Deshler, Bryan, and Hoytville. It is probable Arthur met Lillian while working in Hoytville.

After the couple married, they moved to a home on Oil Center Road in Hoytville and raised their daughter Sarah.

Lillian (Evinger) Lytle died on February 6, 1977
Arthur D. Lytle died on July 15, 1967
Their daughter Sarah, married a man named Arthur M. Beckler. The couple did not have any children.

Lillian and Arthur are buried in New Maplewood Cemetery in North Baltimore, Ohio alongside their daughter and son-in-law.
