Thank you so much to everyone who came out for Mus Thank you so much to everyone who came out for Music at the Museum Presented by Bowling Green Auto Sales last night! The weather was perfect, and we would like to send a big thank you to our wonderful bands: Ginger & The Snaps, The Pinup Project, & AmpWagon. Congratulations to our side raffle winner of the Blackstone grill. Each concert we will be doing a side raffle.

We also want to send a thank you out to our food trucks: Toledo Chuck Wagon, BGSU Falcon Eats, & BD’s Lemonade King! And last but not least, thank you to Josh Denning (Harkness Gardenscapes LLC ) for running our sound and to all of our volunteers, it truly takes a team to pull off such a great event. We have 2 more concerts this summer, so make the trip south of 6 to come see us!

To view all of the photos from the concert, head to our Facebook page and look for the "2025 Music at the Museum" album.

Thank you to our supporting sponsors: Visit BG Ohio, Dave & Cindy Hollinger, Charles & Liesel Traister, Tucker Electrical Service, LLC, & The Willows at Bowling Green.
#poorfarmfriday - Constructed in 1870 the Jackson #poorfarmfriday - Constructed in 1870 the Jackson County Infirmary started as a 160-acre farm until 1876 when 80-acres of the farm was sold. Additionally there was an 8-acre garden and cemetery. The building was a brick three-story structure with a basement, kitchen, dining room, 2 sitting rooms, and 7 bedrooms with 36 beds. The site was demolished and today Southview Elementary occupies the former infirmary grounds.

See photos all of the Poor Farm sites when you visit the award-winning "For Comfort & Convenience" exhibit! You can also read about all the infirmary buildings in our "Ohio's Infirmary Buildings" book, by Holly Harterode Kirkendall.

We have yet to have a visitor from Jackson County visit us. If you are from Jackson County and you visit us, please let staff know so that we can take your photo and add it to our statewide community photo mural.
