The Online Silent Auction is part of the Wood County Museum’s largest fundraiser event of the year – Poor Farm Palooza Fundraiser! The online auction portion has over 100+ products up for bid. Peruse the wonderful items generously donated by Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, (& beyond!) businesses. Bidding on an auction item helps us reach $25,000 fundraising goal. Don’t want to bid? In addition to a year full of community welcoming events, educational programs, and family-focused activities, we will also be doing a lot of planning for 2025. Museum staff will be installing a large World War II exhibit in the Spring of 2025. We are gathering stories from some of the amazing WWII Veterans in the surrounding area, pulling artifacts from our collections in storage, and drawing plans for the ‘exhibit set’. This, of course, means raising additional funds for the construction of the exhibit and the technology that goes with it. This year’s fundraiser will be used in part to help us cover the costs associated with a quality exhibit that weaves many stories and memories from WWII into an enriching experience for visitors.
