Thank you so much to everyone who came out for Music at the Museum Presented by Visit BG Ohio on Thursday (September 19)! The weather was perfect, and we would like to send a big thank you to our wonderful bands from Thursday night: Grande Royale Ükulelists of the Black Swamp (GRUBS), @Trip-Lettes, & Corduroy Road!

We also want to send a thank you out to our food trucks: @The Tamale Guy, @Jikoni Toledo, BD’s Lemonade King, & Awesome Sauce Sugar Floss! And last but not least, thank you to Josh Denning (Harkness Gardenscapes LLC) for running our sound and to all of our volunteers, it truly takes a team to pull off such a great event. We will be announcing soon our 2025 dates and bands!

#poorfarmfriday - Purchased in 1860, a two-story brick building with a basement was constructed in 1863 and sat on 83 acres. The main building was expanded to three stores, with 45 rooms in all...This building was in operation until 1976 when the Erie County Commissioners approved construction of the Erie County Care Center, known today as @The Meadows at Osborn Park.

#nationapunchday - This 1950s punch bowl and match

#nationapunchday - This 1950s punch bowl and matching cups was made by the Federal Glass Company of Columbus, Ohio. Famous for their pressed glass sets, Federal Glass was established in 1900 by George & Robert Beatty.

The punch bowl set was once owned by Lyle & Helen Fletcher, this couple showed their post-war patriotism with this Americana hexagon pattern complete with eagle and star adornment.

Today the punch bowl set is a part of the Wood County Historical Society’s permanent collection.

Join us on September 26 from 4-7pm to celebrate the birthday kitty, Peaches! Enjoy cake, punch and cotton candy (donated by Awesome Sauce Sugar Floss)!

The Wood County Museum is collecting donations for a winter house for Peaches. We have also partnered with For the Love of Cats and we will have a kitty supply drive, collecting cat food, litter, and various supplies to go towards their organization. For the Love of Cats will have an info booth to let the community know about their organization and how they help the community cats.

Peaches birthday party is a FREE community event. We are asking for RSVP's so we can get an accurate number for ordering cake.
