In about 3 weeks from now we will be hosting, in partnership with Safe Communities of Wood County, our first Safety Fair & Cruise-In, event Presented by USA Insulation of Toledo.

In addition to our service vehicles, we will also have a Car Cruise-In taking place, new, classic, and antique cars are welcome.

#waybackwednsday - We wanted to share a photo of the original entrance to the County Home. The entrance is located on Gypsy Lane Road in between the Wood County Health Department & Wood County Jobs & Family Services. The original farmland (outlined in black) for the County Home property is currently where the Wood County offices known as Gypsy Lane Complex sits.

*Note in recent years, the small bridge over the creek has been removed.

#textiletuesday - Here is a gorgeous 1920s combination slip made of peach satin and white lace that is part of the WCHS collection. Combination underwear garments became popular in the late 1800s when the chemise and drawers were combined into one easy pull on piece.
