Join us on July 24th from 4pm-7pm for the golden celebration of the Wood County Museum! This is an exclusive FREE event for Museum Members ONLY!

What’s a party without cake and snow-cones (and other refreshments). We will be giving free rides on our 1950s fire truck! Finally, at 6pm there will be a special presentation by Curator, Holly Kirkendall, over the 50 year history of the Wood County Museum.

The first 150 Museum members will also get an exclusive 50th Anniversary tumbler!

Who else misses Food Town as much as we miss Food Town?
Originally located at 1044 N. Main, this particular location was once owned by Paul L. Pope. Paul entered the grocery store business in with Pope’s Food Locker in McClure with his father Russell. The Dixie Food Town Location was opened in 1947 and by 1957 Paul and four other independent supermarket operators joined together to create Seaway Foodtown Inc.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out for Music at the Museum Presented by Bowling Green Auto Sales last night! The weather was perfect, and we would like to send a big thank you to our wonderful bands: Ginger & The Snaps, The Pinup Project, & AmpWagon. Congratulations to our side raffle winner of the Blackstone grill. Each concert we will be doing a side raffle.

We also want to send a thank you out to our food trucks: Toledo Chuck Wagon, BGSU Falcon Eats, & BD’s Lemonade King! And last but not least, thank you to Josh Denning (Harkness Gardenscapes LLC ) for running our sound and to all of our volunteers, it truly takes a team to pull off such a great event. We have 2 more concerts this summer, so make the trip south of 6 to come see us!
