Iconic Ohio Road Trips and Across America Celebrating America 250
This engaging talk invites audiences to hit the open road and rediscover the stories that shaped our nation, one unforgettable mile at a time. Iconic Ohio Road Trips and Across America Celebrating America 250 highlights scenic drives, historic byways, and can’t-miss stops that connect Ohio’s rich past to the broader American story as we approach the nation’s 250th birthday.

Designed for travelers, history lovers, and lifelong learners, the presentation blends storytelling, photography, and practical trip ideas. Attendees will explore how Ohio’s landscapes, communities, and landmarks played pivotal roles in America’s journey, while also discovering road trip routes across the country that bring the America 250 celebration to life.

From charming small towns and presidential history to cultural landmarks and modern-day must-sees, this talk shows how road trips can be both meaningful and fun.

This week we partnered with the Wood County Park D This week we partnered with the Wood County Park District Stewardship Department out at J.C. Reuthinger Memorial Preserve - Native Seed Nursery and Greenhouse on Pawpaw Trees. Our staff had collected some seeds over the summer, and today we gave them to the Park District. In the spring we will plant a couple of the pawpaw trees here on the museum grounds, from the ones they already have in their greenhouses, with hopes that in a few years we can plant some of these seeds we collected and donated.
